How do I find the model or serial number of a drive in my data RAID?

You can use either ArcSAP or archttp to access the RAID and get drive information.

Using ArcSAP:

1. Open ArcSAP on the server itself. This cannot be done on a workstation.
2. Expand the controller, and then the RAID name.

3. Click on Member Disks, and you can see the drive information, including the location, Model (listed under Name) and the serial number. You can also find the size and state of the drive.

Using ArcSAP:

1. Open archttp on the server itself.

2. Once logged in, expand the RAID controller and click on the Web Management link below it.
3. If necessary, login using the same credentials as before.
4. Expand the Information folder and click on RAID Set Hierarchy. You may need to scroll down to find the drives listed. This will give you the Model Number of the drive. You can click on the link in the Device column to et more detailed information such as the Serial Number.
