How to disable automatic updates
Step guide to disabling automatic OS updates on your ProMAX Platform
To disable automatic updates, attach a keyboard, monitor, mouse to the Platform server and login to the Windows server OS. This can also be done through a remote desktop connection. Once in the Windows server 2016 OS, do the following:
- Open an elevated command prompt window or PowerShell session
- Type sconfig and press enter.
- Select option 5
- Now select “A” for automatically download and install updates, “D” for download only or “M” for Manual updates.
