What does it mean when I receive an integrity error for tape?

This write operation has been aborted to protect the integrity of the data on the tape. Please contact support. This write operation has been aborted to protect the integrity of the data on the tape. Please contact support.

This error happens when the there was an error or corruption during the tape backup/archive process and on the tape Itself.

It helps prevent any further corruption on the tape In case the data no longer exists on the Platform.

The procedure is to recover the data back onto Platform and verify that the data is Intact.

Once verified, format the tape and try again.  If the error occurs again, we recommend trying another tape.

- If the tape backup completes, then the previous tape contains physical problems and recommended no longer for use.

- If the tape backup fails again, you will need to look at the logs and the data to find which piece of data Is at fault as its likely the last piece of data being processed.
