      Tape Barcode Requirements

      1. Tape Barcodes only appear when there is a Tape Library.  Standalone single drives do not read barcodes.

      2. Tapes must have a barcode attached to the tapes for the Library to read and catalog.

      3. Tape Barcodes are populated in the Platform UI only when there is a library present and barcodes on the tapes.  These fields are only populated and not customizable as these are pulled information from the library.

      4. If a tape populates a bar code in a single drive and/or without a physical barcode and the tape is from an existing tape from a different system, this information may be pulled information from existing TOC.  This is not a field we can manipulate.
