I can no longer connect with the Listener after changing the Platform IP address or moving between Platform Systems.
If you are unable to connect to the Platform system using the Listener on your Mac workstation, you may need to reset the Listener by deleting its configuration file and reinstalling the Listener software.
How to Reset the Platform Listener on macOS
Quit the Listener if running.
To delete the Listener configuration file:
- Open a new Finder window.
- From the menu bar, select Go.
- Hold down the Option key to reveal the Library folder.
- Click on the Library folder.
- Navigate to the PromaxPlatformClient folder.
- Locate the config.txt file and delete it.
You will need to restart the Listener before logging back into the Platform system.
To reinstall the Listener (not always necessary):
- Follow the instructions in this knowledge base article: How do I reinstall the Listener completely on OSX?
This should resolve any issues caused by a corrupted Listener configuration file. If you continue to experience problems connecting to the Platform system, contact Promax support for further assistance.
