How do I remove suspect status of a tape?

This is advanced tape troubleshooting. If a tape is exhibiting errors, removing unsuspect tape may only temporarily help however the tape is likely at fault.

1. Stop the Task Services.  You can find this by going to the admin settings screen under General.  At the bottom you will want to Right-Click on the Task Services and select Stop.

2. Download the Dev Console here, Unzip and run the DevAdminConsole as Administrator.

3. Enter Password Dev123

4. Type in connect and allow the system to connect to the tape drive.  This may take a few minutes.

5. When the tape drive is ready, type in 'unsuspecttape -all'

6. Close the dev console and turn the Task Service back on.
